Live Sawn White Oak comes from a unique milling process that that includes all the natural grain variations available. This process involves cutting the log straight through which generally displays plain saw and rift/quarter sawn patterns in each piece. With this sawing method there is very little waste considering the majority of the log is able to be used. Live Sawn is also commonly known as “European Cut” or “French Cut” and produces a floor that is more stable and overall harder than traditional sawing methods. Live Sawn flooring typically has long lengths up to 10’ or 12’ and average lengths from 5’ to 7’.
